About The Class
We have three primary accent resources coming to help us practice English accent, Irish accent, and Southern accent.
Mia Luy is extremely well versed in Southern accents. Having traveled all over the South, she’s able to help others pinpoint and execute the exact ‘flavor’ of Southern it is that they want to master. She was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee, making Appalachian her specialty. Southern accents are all in the little details, and Mia has an understanding of those details that she is ready to impart with others who want to learn!
Martin O'Keeffe was born May 25 of 1951 in Dublin, Ireland. On November 20th 1960 his family immigrated to America.
Martin participated in singing & choir, as well as being an extra in a couple local films in Western Colorado. He sang in St. Matthews Cathedral Boys Choir while attending it's private school - Calvert School. He sang at JFK's funeral in St. Matthews Cathedral November 25 1963.
Martin moved to Colorado in 1975. He is now retired, and is the loving husband to Monique Morisseau, and is the proud father of three girls, Ali, Rose, and Jeanne. He is very excited to come and teach a Dublin, Irish accent.
