INTRO TO ACTING
with Kimberly Rehfuss
Ever wondered what it really takes to be an actor?
Maybe you’ve always wanted to try acting but never quite had the nerve. Maybe you’ve done some
community theater and want to strengthen your skills. Maybe you acted years ago and have been
thinking about stepping back onto the stage. Or maybe you’ve been acting for years and have
been thinking about going back to class to brush up on your technique and revisit the
fundamentals.
Intro to Acting is a fun, high-energy six-week course where actors of all experience levels can
explore and strengthen the fundamentals of stage acting through theater games, exercises, scene
work, monologues, and individualized coaching.
What will we work on?
Acting is more than memorizing lines. It’s listening, responding, making choices, connecting with
your scene partner, and learning to be fully present in the moment.
We’ll work on those skills while exploring making stronger acting choices and bringing greater truth
and authenticity to your performance.
And the benefits go beyond the stage. Acting builds confidence, communication, creativity,
collaboration, and presence—all while giving you permission to play!
