About The Class

Social media isn’t just a highlight reel anymore… it’s your casting profile before you ever walk into the room. In this class, Dakota Rae McKinnon breaks down how actors can use social media as a powerful tool instead of a confusing obligation. With a creative and approachable style, Dakota walks you through what to post, how to show your personality without oversharing, and how to create content that actually gets you noticed by casting and collaborators. You’ll learn how to build a presence that feels authentic, professional, and aligned with where you want to go as an actor.

Dakota-Rae McKinnon is a 34 year old Actress and UGC Creator based out of the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Grand Junction, Colorado. Passionate about performing since the age of four, she spent her childhood immersed in musical theater until graduating high school at eighteen. After meeting the love of her life, now her husband, she explored a new artistic path as a cosmetologist while also stepping into the world of content creation as a small influencer; where she built connections with inspiring figures such as Julia Quinn and Nancy Costello. Though her creative journey has taken many forms, acting has always been her greatest love, a dream first sparked by her favorite film, The Wizard of Oz. She is currently filming her first feature role in the movie, “Felina”. Over the past year, she also appeared as an extra in two feature films and performed in the musical, “Bright Star”. With six years of experience as a Photographer, Freelance Model, and Social Media Creator; her knowledge has allowed her to build a community of all shapes and sizes across multiple social media platforms. Producing authentic relatable content through storytelling, acting, reviews, unboxing, trends, and more. Her skills allow her to work with any brand or niche; bringing in excitement for their target audience; and she can't wait to share her knowledge and passion with all of you.
